IAESTE in the Philippines is administered by POEC Consultancy International, Inc., an organization engaged in cultural exchange programs in the Philippines with offices in Cebu and Manila. POEC is known as a cultural exchange company, offering international internship to students and young professionals who wish to gain international experience.

In 2007, IAESTE granted POEC it's co-operating institution status for Philippines.

WHAT DOES IAESTE DO TO THE INDUSTRY AND THE NATION?
IAESTE offers to students an opportunity to obtain practical experience in engineering, technical sciences, and other technologies.  Philippines host or sponsoring companies have an opportunity to develop contacts with young professionals from other countries and to play a role in the global community.

International students return home with a good understanding of Philippine culture, customs, industry and technology.

IAESTE program works on a reciprocal basis, so that for every foreign trainee placed in a company/university/college in the Philippines, a Filipino student has the opportunity to take up an internship abroad.  Student who participate in IAESTE return to the Philippines and can offer their prospective companies the benefits of their overseas experience.
